What Is Assisted Living?
The concept of assisted living is still a new one, and while we try to create this lifestyle at the Jewish Home Assisted Living, we do so by fulfilling the following 5 principles for each resident every day. The five principles are: Independence, Choice, Privacy, Individuality and Dignity.
These principles are the foundation used by our staff to provide some form of assistance to our residents who require support services, but at the same time allowing those residents to remain in an apartment style lifestyle with their own personal possessions.
Assisted living offers elegant dining which promotes socialization and choice, Our programming selection affords independence and individuality, while our Wellness team provides care and promotes privacy, independence and dignity.
It is both humbling and heart warming to join our residents during our weekly Shabbos dinner as they unite (both Jews and non-Jews) welcoming in the Sabbath.
As one resident recently mentioned after being here only a half a day in our community, “I have never seen such a beautiful place and met such friendly people. I can stay here forever”, is a true testament to the family atmosphere one will experience when walking through our activity-filled community.
